To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the absolute cult game, a true highlight awaits you at the kick-off of SPIEL: On Thursday evening, October 22, 2026, the Grugahalle will transform into a huge, suspense-filled village full of suspects, lies, and sudden decisions! Presented by Asmodee, the well-known gaming and entertainment professionals from Rocket Beans TV will stage a spectacular live game of The Werewolves of Millers Hollow (Die Werwölfe von Düsterwald) on stage—and we at SPIEL are thrilled to support this event!
The game The Werewolves of Millers Hollow has been the epitome of gripping social deduction games for a quarter of a century. A secret team of werewolves has infiltrated the unsuspecting village and strikes covertly every night. The more or less helpless villagers try to expose the culprits in heated discussions. The concept is currently also capturing a broad audience—most recently, a dedicated format ran as a major show on German public television (ARD), and a popular Netflix film is also based on this social deduction classic.
That this format is a perfect match for the Rocket Beans will hardly surprise fans: The pioneers of German gaming streaming are known for passionate live shows, pen-and-paper adventures, and humorous entertainment. Now they are bringing the ultimate bluffing game with a gigantic round of around 20 "Beans" live to the stage of the Grugahalle. Who is a loyal villager, who is a werewolf?
