We want everyone to be able to experience and enjoy the show. That's why we do our best to ensure barrier-free access to the halls and during your stay. We are happy to provide support wherever we can.

EASY ACCESS

The area of SPIEL Essen is easily accessible for people with walking disabilities. The entrances East, South and West are at ground level.

If you come to us by subway, you can take the U11 line directly from Essen Central Station to the stops Messe Ost/Gruga and Messe West-Süd/Gruga.  

At the Messe Ost/Gruga stop, there is an elevator that will take you to the East entrance. At the Messe West-Süd/Gruga stop, there is a ramp up to the West entrance, and from there it is about 300 meters to the South entrance.

PARKING SPACES

Messe Essen has parking spaces for people with disabilities near the East, South and West entrances. You can use them with your parking permit for disabled persons or severely disabled parking permit and the traffic wardens will gladly show you the way.

People with a degree of disability of 80% or more can park for free. You can get your ticket discounted at the information desk. All you need to do is present your disabled pass and get a receipt for the discount.

DISABLED TOILETS

In the East, West and South foyers as well as in Halls 3, 4 and 6 there are disabled toilets facilities equipped with the EURO WC lock. If you do not have an appropriate key, you can ask the toilet attendants who will be happy to unlock the toilet for you on site. You can also borrow a key at any fair information desk by depositing your ID card.

WHEELCHAIR RENTAL

Together with Messe Essen, we offer the possibility of renting a wheelchair free of charge for your visit to the show. On presentation of an identity card and a deposit of 50 euros, the wheelchair can be used for the whole day. The number can be reached from the Monday before the start of the fair.
