We are thrilled to introduce Mháire Stritter as our new SPIEL ambassador for the year 2025! After last year, we were able to present Alea, the frontman of Saltatio Mortis, as the first face of our fair, and he was very well received in the community. We are continuing this concept with the enthusiastic gamer and moderator of Orkenspalter TV, who is particularly well-known in the role-playing, LARP, and cosplay scenes. This year, we also want to inspire new people for the world of games and set another sign for the importance of the board game community and the diversity of gaming culture.

Mháire Stritter is no stranger to the board game world. With her passion for games and her active role in the community, she brings a deep connection to the subject matter. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and that is precisely what makes her the ideal choice for this honorable task. Mháire herself is very much looking forward to her new role: "Games mean an incredible amount to me - as a refuge, as a community, and to live out my creativity. For me, they are a chance to share my enthusiasm and joy about playing and storytelling together with others, whether as an author or entertainer."

This perfectly reflects what SPIEL Essen is all about: the joy of shared experiences and the unifying power of games. And we are very much looking forward to experiencing this together again at the upcoming SPIEL.

The new ambassador is also eagerly anticipating the upcoming fair: "Being the ambassador for the games fair is an incredible honor for me. Normally, I walk around the fair with friends and show them games that I have "discovered" there. I hope that this year I can simply do that on a slightly larger scale!" We are convinced that with her authentic manner and her enthusiasm for board games, Mháire Stritter will be a wonderful ambassador for SPIEL Essen and can inspire visitors to the fair in a very special way.
